Emerging Markets Fixed Income Quantitative Desk strategist-London
A leading investment bank with a strength in Emerging Markets is looking to add a desk strategist to their team in London.
The hire will be at Associate/VP level therefore you must be able to hit the ground running and have previous experience in Emerging Markets Fixed Income as either a desk strategist or Quantitative analyst. You will be responsible for assisting the head of the team to work on the CEEMEA region therefore prior experience working in the market is desired but not essential.
The opportunity with see you sat directly on a trading desk therefore you will report to the head of Emerging Markets trading and be a key part of the idea and trading strategy generation.
The result of your ideas/strategies will also be monitored therefore you will be rewarded on the success in your bonus.
In order to be considered for the role you should have direct experience:
-Working in an emerging Markets focused role, ideally as a quant analyst/Strategist providing coverage in local interest rates markets for CEEMEA (or other Emerging Makets), including interest rate forecasting,
-Performing quantitative initiatives on an Emerging Markets derivatives trading desk,
-Researching and building rates and Inflation curves in Emerging Market currencies,
-Supporting the desk (exotic/swap/prop desk) with trade ideas and quant and macro relative value strategies,
-Providing quantitative models (macro and quant driven) for the trading desk.
There will also be possibilities to have significant client contact however the role is primarily trading based and at times you will be required to cover trading positions during the senior trader's absence.
